The Virginia Ramblers: Home
The Virginia Ramblers are a traditional bluegrass band from Albemarle County in central Virginia. Charles Frazier, guitar and lead singer, Donnie Shifflett, bass, and Jeff Vogelgesang, mandolin performed together for 13 years with banjo player Alvin Breeden as The Virginia Cutups. Our young buddy and Michigan native Zack Deming (formerly of King Wilkie) on banjo rounds out the group.
The band has performed on A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor, the Grass Valey, California Festival, and at festivals throughout Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware and Maryland.
